Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Asake has officially announced his highly anticipated ‘In God We Trust’ tour, a major international run across Europe and North America that comes on the heels of the record-breaking success of his latest album, M$NEY.

Asake Set for Major Europe and North America Tour as M$NEY Continues Global Dominance

The announcement, which was shared via the singer’s official Instagram page on Tuesday, immediately sparked excitement among fans worldwide, further cementing Asake’s position as one of the biggest African artists on the global stage. The extensive tour is scheduled to run for nearly four months, beginning on July 4 and concluding on October 24, with performances lined up in 16 major cities across two continents.

The North American leg of the tour will see Asake perform in key cities including Chicago, Toronto, Laval in Quebec, Brooklyn, Lowell, Atlanta, Miami, Houston, and Los Angeles. The tour will also make a stop in Colombia, expanding his growing influence beyond traditional Afrobeats strongholds.

In Europe, fans in London, Brussels, Amsterdam, Berlin, and Paris will also experience the highly anticipated live performances. Asake is additionally set to headline Afronation Portugal, one of the biggest and most influential Afrobeats festivals in the world, further highlighting his rising international appeal.

The ‘In God We Trust’ tour arrives shortly after the release of M$NEY, Asake’s fourth studio album, which dropped on May 1, 2026. The 13-track project features collaborations with notable international acts including Tiakola, DJ Snake, and Kabza De Small.

Unlike the raw, high-energy sound that defined much of his earlier work, M$NEY showcased a more refined and cohesive musical direction. The album revealed a calmer and more reflective side of Asake, blending Afrobeats, Amapiano, and international influences into a polished body of work. While some listeners praised the artistic growth and maturity on display, others debated whether the crossover appeal slightly softened the street-inspired edge that initially propelled him to stardom.

Regardless of differing opinions, the commercial performance of the album told a remarkable story. M$NEY shattered records by earning 55.98 million streams in its opening week on Spotify, making it the biggest debut week ever for an African album on the platform. In Nigeria, the project also established a new Spotify opening-week record with 37.5 million streams.

Also on the big news regarding the tour, famous Eswatini DJ and record producer Uncle Waffles would be coming on as a special guest with Asake, performing with him to thousands of fans around the world. This news stirred a bit of controversy because a lot of Nigerians felt Uncle Waffles was South African and did not deserve to be in the guest list following the xenophobia meted out to Nigerians in South Africa. This kickstarted a major online drama with South Africans claiming Uncles Waffles wasn’t part of them and mocking Nigerians to go do their research more. The whole thing ended in name calling and chaos on the X social media platform.

Regardless, the show is going on and Uncle Waffles is coming on board unless a new development emerges.

And for this particular album, its success extends way beyond streaming numbers. M$NEYclimbed to number one on the Apple Music UK chart, making Asake the first African artist in history to have five different projects reach the top position on the platform in the United Kingdom.

Beyond the music, the album also represents a major milestone in Asake’s career journey. M$NEY is his first full-length project released under his independent imprint, Giran Republic, in partnership with EMPIRE. The move signals a new era of creative and business independence for the artist, who has rapidly evolved from a breakout Lagos street-pop act into one of Africa’s most commercially successful global exports.

The title of the tour, ‘In God We Trust’, also reflects a noticeable shift in Asake’s recent public image and artistic messaging. In recent months, the singer has increasingly embraced themes of gratitude, faith, reflection, and personal growth, often referencing his journey from the streets of Lagos to international superstardom in less than four years.

For many fans, the tour represents more than just a series of concerts. It serves as another milestone in the remarkable rise of an artist who continues to redefine the global reach of Afrobeats while staying connected to the experiences and culture that shaped his career.

Ticket details for the ‘In God We Trust’ tour are expected to be announced soon.
